The Tudor Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club. Situated on hundreds of acres of immaculate parkland in the heart of picturesque Maidstone, Kent, widely known as the ‘Garden of England, this hotel features a rejuvenating spa, an indoor pool and fitness centre, Cast Iron Grill and restaurant. All ensuite guest room feature flat screen TV, hair-dryer, radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Accommodation is based on a Dinner and Breakfast basis.
Day 1 - Depart from your local area and travel to Chartwell, a National Trust property and family home of Sir Winston Churchill. Following our visit, the coach will continue to the hotel – the Tudor Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club, near Maidstone. Here accommodation is reserved for five nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2 - After breakfast, we depart for Canterbury. On arrival group entrance and a guided tour of the Cathedral are included. Following the visit, you will have free time. During the mid-afternoon, a 45-minute guided river boat cruise is included. Afterwards, the coach will return to the hotel.
Day 3 - This morning the coach will depart for Hever Castle, where group entrance and a multimedia guide are included. During the early afternoon we continue our journey to Sissinghurst Castle Garden. The coach will depart during the late afternoon and return to the hotel.
Day 4- After breakfast, the coach will depart for the short journey to Leeds Castle, where group entrance and a private guided tour are included. The coach will depart during the early afternoon for Tenterden and a return journey to Bodiam on the Kent & East Sussex Railway. Upon arrival in Tenterden the coach will return the group to the hotel.
Day 5- After breakfast, the coach will depart for the Historic Dockyard Chatham, where group entrance and a one hour guided tour on board the coach are included. Following the guided tour, you will have time at leisure prior to the coach retuning to the hotel during the late afternoon.
Day 6- Check out of the hotel following breakfast and set off for our final visit of the tour, Bateman’s, a Jacobean House and home of Rudyard Kipling. The coach will depart during the mid-afternoon for the journey back to your local area.
