The Gilsland Hall Hotel  - Situated in 140 acres of manicured garden and natural woodland, in an idyllic countryside location with spectacular views over the Cumbrian and Northumberland countryside.  All en-suite rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryer.  Hotel features include restaurant, bar, lounge, 24H front desk and lift.  There is free Wi-Fi Access in all public areas of the hotel.

 Accommodation is reserved for five nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Suggested Tour Itinerary:

Day 1
Depart during the morning and travel north, making an appropriate comfort stop en-route, to Oswaldtwistle Mill Shopping Village & Garden Centre.  Here you will have some free time before we continue our journey to our hotel, the ever popular Gilsland Hall.  Here accommodation is reserved for four nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis. Each day the hotel put on a Tea Dance at approx. 17.30hrs. before the evening meal, followed by nightly entertainment.
 
Day 2
After breakfast, the coach will depart for a full day excursion to the Scottish Borders. We will visit the historic Royal Burgh of Jedburgh with its colourful renovated buildings in the Market Place and Canongate housing shops, restaurants and cafes. We will also visit Moffat a historic spa town where you will discover a wide, tree-lined high street which retains many of its original characteristics.  Return to the hotel during late afternoon.
 
Day 3
This morning the coach will depart for the Cumbrian coast and the town of Silloth where you will have time at leisure. From here we continue, via the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, to Keswick, where again you will have time at leisure.  Rejoin the coach and travel, via Thirlmere, to Windermere where will have free time. Weather permitting, the coach will return via Kirkstone Pass to the shores of Ullswater before returning to the hotel.
 
Day 4
After breakfast, the coach will depart for a full day excursion, with a local guide, to include Hadrian’s Wall, Newcastle, The Angel of the North, then out via the coastal route to Woodhorn Museum before returning to the hotel during the late afternoon. 
 
Day 5
Check out of the hotel following breakfast, the coach will then depart for Barton Grange Garden Centre near Preston.  Here you will have time for a look around and have lunch (not included) before continuing the journey back to your local area, arriving during the early evening.
