Cardiff and South Wales  – 5 Days / 4 Nights

Suggested Holiday Hotel:

The  4* Holland House Hotel & Spa - Centally located, within walking distance of Cardiff Castle, all
en-suite rooms have flat screen TV, telephone, safety deposit boxes, tea/coffee making facilities.  Hotel features include restaurant, bar, 24h front desk, lift, indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and there is free Wi-Fi Access throughout the hotel. 

Suggested Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 
Depart during the morning and travel to South Wales, making an appropriate comfort stop en-route, to Tredegar House a National Trust (NT) property situated near Newport. For any NT members entrance is free of charge, however for any non-NT members there is an additional charge of £8.80 per person to be paid in advance. During the mid/ late afternoon we will continue our journey to the Welsh capital – Cardiff and our hotel. Here accommodation is reserved for four nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.
 
Day 2 
After breakfast a local guide will join the coach for a morning tour of Cardiff and Cardiff Bay. There will then be time for lunch (not included) prior to our arranged entrance and guided tour at the National Assembly of Wales (the Welsh Parliament). Following our visit, there may be some free time before we return to the hotel for an early evening meal.  

Day 3
This morning we make our way to St. Fagans National Museum of History. On arrival we have arranged for a 30-minute ‘Meet the Curator Talk’ after which you will have free time in the museum before the coach departs for the Royal Mint Experience. Here group entrance and guided tour are included. From here we will return to the hotel. 

Day 4    
After breakfast the coach will depart for The Big Pit National Coal Museum where group entrance and a 60-minute underground tour are included. After the visit we will return to Cardiff where group entrance and guided tour of Cardiff Castle are included. After the tour there will be time at leisure before returning to hotel. For those who would like to spend a little more time in central Cardiff, you can make their own way back to the hotel. 

Day 5 
Check out of the hotel following breakfast and commence our return journey, with a visit to Dyrham Park, another NT property, where the cost for any non-NT members is £12.70 per person to be paid in advance. The coach will depart during the mid late afternoon
for the journey back to your local area, arriving during the early evening.
