Our base is the 4* Bloomfield House Hotel, located on the shores of Lough Ennell, not far from the town of Mullingar. All rooms are en-suite, with hairdryer, flat screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities. Hotel features include restaurant, bar, health and leisure club including indoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
Accommodation is reserved for 5 nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.
Suggested Tour itinerary
Day 1
Depart from local area by coach for the transfer to **London Heathrow Terminal 5, arriving in time to check-in for the British Airways flight to Dublin. Upon arrival at Dublin Airport, a coach will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel, the 4* Bloomfield House Hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast, the coach will depart for the Irish National Stud in Co. Kildare, where group entrance and guided tour are included, along with time to visit St. Fiachra’s Garden, the Japanese Garden and Horse Museum. Return to the hotel during the afternoon.
Day 3
Today we have an excursion to Dublin. Upon arrival a local guide will take us on a guided tour of the city, after which you will have free time to explore Ireland’s famed capital city. Whilst in Dublin, and for those wishing to learn about the taste Ireland’s ‘national drink’ - Guinness, you may wish to consider pre-booking an optional self-guided tour of Guinness Storehouse.
Day 4
After breakfast the coach will depart for the town of Athlone, where group entrance and guided tour of Athlone Castle are included, after which you will have free time in Athlone. During the early afternoon we will continue to Belvedere House Gardens & Park, where group entrance and guided tour are included.
Day 5
We have a full day excursion to the west coast of Ireland and the Bohemian city of Galway, where a local guide will take us on a guided tour of the city. Galway is full of culture and artistry. As well as being a popular seaside destination with long sandy beaches, Galway is a joy to explore with its wonderful cobbled streets, colourful shop facades, and its offbeat café/bar culture.
Day 6
After breakfast check out of the hotel and set off for short visit to Ireland’s longest established seaside town Bray. Situated to the south of Dublin, here you will be some free time prior to continuing to Dublin Airport for the British Airways back to **London Heathrow,. On arrival a coach will be waiting to transfer the group back to your local area.
