Enjoy a 4 day break to Bristol - one of Europe’s most dynamic cities.  With over a thousand years of history and a fascinating industrial and maritime heritage, Bristol is always a popular destination for groups.  There are many famous landmarks in the city including the Downs and the Cathedral as well as the city’s association with Brunel - the suspension bridge and the SS Great Britain.

Hotel features include 2 restaurants, bar, indoor pool, sauna and fitness centre. All ensuite guest rooms come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

Accommodation is based on a dinner and breakfast basis.


Suggested Tour Itinerary:

Day 1
Depart from your chosen pick up points and travel to Aerospace Bristol. Here you will be whisked away on an immersive journey through more than a century of incredible aviation achievements and fascinating tales of human endeavour. A guided tour and entrance to the stunning centre piece of your visit - Concorde Alpha Foxtrot: the last of the iconic supersonic passenger jets to be built and the last to fly is included.  After the visit  the coach will continue to the hotel, The Holiday Inn Bristol Filton.  Here accommodation is reserved for three nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis. 

Day 2 
After breakfast, the coach will depart for central Bristol.  Here a local Blue Badge Guide will board the coach for a morning tour of Bristol, taking in many of the places associated with Isambard Kingdom Brunel.  At the end of the tour  the guide will walk the group to The New Room Bristol, John Wesley’s Chapel - the oldest Methodist building in the world. Shortly after arrival, soup and sandwiches will be provided followed by a guided tour and free time in the museum. Coach departure during the late afternoon back to the hotel. 

Day 3
This morning visit  Brunel’s SS Great Britain, one of the most important historic ships in the world. When she was launched in 1843 she was called ‘the greatest experiment since the Creation’. Group entrance also includes access to the new Being Brunel, an exciting new national museum and visitor experience, where you’ll be invited to step into the mind of Isambard Kingdom Brunel as he is brought vividly to life with never-before-seen personal possessions, documents and artefacts. After the visit you will have time for lunch (not included) prior to the coach departing for another of Brunel’s wonders – the Clifton Suspension Bridge, spanning the picturesque Avon Gorge, it is the symbol of the city of Bristol. A group guided tour of approx. 45-60 minutes is included. After the visit the coach will return to the hotel.  

Day 4
After breakfast check out of the hotel.  We then depart for our final visit into central Bristol where a 60-minute harbour cruise with tea & coffee is arranged. After the tour, the coach will head to Cheltenham and The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) for a single journey on the recently opened line to Broadway Station. From Broadway, we’ve arranged  an Afternoon Tea before continuing back to your local area.
