Kent is steeped in history and heritage and is also rightly renowned throughout the world as the Garden of England.

Suggested Holiday Hotels:

The Ashford International Hotel.  This 4* modern hotel is located in a good central position and offers comfortable accommodation for your weekend stay.  All en-suite rooms have private facilities, flat-screen TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and trouser press/ironing facilities.  Hotel features include a leisure centre with a 20-metre indoor pool, jacuzzi, rock sauna and steam room.  The stylish Horizon Restaurant and Wine Bar offers a brasserie-style menu.

Suggested Tour Itinerary:

Day 1
Depart during the morning and travel south, making an appropriate comfort stop en-route to Leeds Castle, where entrance is included.  This magnificent 12th century castle, with a splendid interior, rises from two small islands in a lake, with 500 acres of woodland walks, parkland, formal gardens, a yew maze spiralling towards an underground grotto and an aviary with daily displays of falconry.  During the late afternoon we rejoin the coach and make our way to the Ashford International Hotel, where accommodation is reserved for two nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2
After breakfast the coach will depart for Scotney Castle, a 14th century castle with colourful, romantic gardens, Near Tunbridge Wells.  
Scotney Castle is a National Trust property, therefore any passengers who are National Trust members gain free entrance (as long as they are in possession of their valid membership card on the day).   Following the visit the coach will depart for Pashley Manor Gardens, where entrance is included.  These have won many awards due to the imaginative plantings, romantic landscapes, fine old trees and water gardens.  During the late afternoon we make our way back to the hotel.

Day 3
After breakfast we check out of the hotel, and travel to Merriments Gardens where entrance is included.  During the early afternoon the coach will depart for Penshurst Place and Gardens - one of Kent’s loveliest ancestral homes, with a history going back six and a half centuries.  The enchanting formal gardens were first laid in the 14th century and have been continually developed throughout the years. Entrance to the House and Gardens is included.
During the late afternoon the coach will depart for the journey back to your local area, arriving during the mid-evening
